What's New
Prophitable ships every week. This is what went out each month, and why it matters if you make or sell food.

A dashboard that answers "did I make money?"
The dashboard now starts with two numbers. Product Profit is what your sales earned after ingredients, packaging, labor and getting orders out the door. Business Profit is what's left after indirect labor and waste. Between them sit Revenue, Cost of Goods, Fulfillment and Other Spend, each compared with the period before.
Below those, a Due card lists every make, sales and transport order that's due by tomorrow or already late. Then come profit tables by product and by customer, and sales by channel. Pick a range from 7 days to All Time.
Revenue is counted on the day an order ships, and it leaves out sales tax. That money was never yours anyway.

Summary
Short on stock? Make it anyway: Starting a make order never blocks. If you used flour you hadn't entered yet, Prophitable remembers it and pays it back out of the next lot you receive. Ship a sales order short and the same thing happens.
Expired stock asks first: When a make order would use expired stock, it lists it, asks whether you used it or not, and records your answer.
Stock sold without an order: Sell leftover stock at a market or to a neighbor, record it as Sold, and it counts in your revenue and cost on the dashboard.
A Getting Started guide in three stages: New accounts cost their products first, then get ready to sell, then run their first orders. Skip any step that doesn't fit your business.
A buy list from the production sheet: Pick the delivery days and it lists every ingredient and material those orders need, in the units you buy. Type how many to buy, or print it blank for whoever does the shopping.

Weekly Production Logs
Most kitchens I've talked to don't time every batch, and honestly I don't blame them. Now you can log a whole week at once: who worked, how many hours they were paid for, and what got made. Complete the log and Prophitable turns that week's payroll into a labor cost on every item you made.
Each item is charged the time it should take. Paid hours the week's output can't account for show up separately as indirect labor on the dashboard, so they don't quietly inflate the cost of a jar.
You can still time individual make orders. The log nets that labor out so nothing is counted twice.

Summary
Corrections reach everything: Fix a price on a received purchase order and every batch, make order and shipped sales order that used it updates.
No more guessed costs: If a cost depends on a missing price, it's marked incomplete instead of shown as final.
Sales tax isn't revenue: Order profit, margin and dashboard revenue all leave it out.
Whole Items: A sandwich, a whole cake or a salad bowl is its own product now, with one name and one shelf life.
Assembly times fill themselves in: Prophitable learns them from the make orders you time.
Staff without a login: Add someone's wage without asking them to sign up.
Products have drafts: Keep a product in draft until it's ready to sell, and archive it when you stop.

Customer Ordering Portal
Your wholesale customers can now order for themselves. Each location gets a sign-in link by email, with no password to remember, and sees your products at their own prices.
They place, change and repeat orders before your cutoff. Prophitable sends them a reminder before each cutoff, and at cutoff their order shows up in your sales orders. Accept or reject it and they hear back.
The production sheet then adds up every accepted order into one list of what to make.

Import any spreadsheet, and give every customer their own prices
Upload the spreadsheet you already cost from, in whatever layout it's in. Prophitable reads every tab and brings in your ingredients, materials, recipes, packaging and products together, with your suppliers already linked. You see everything before it's imported and can fix anything it got wrong.
Once your products are in, give each customer their own prices with a price list. Attach the same list to as many customers as you like, and when you change a price once, every customer on that list gets it.
For customers who order the same thing every week, set up a recurring order once (Growth plan). Same products, same days, and you can still edit it any time.

Summary
Stock Activity: Every lot and batch shows its full history: received, used, adjusted, sold.
Counts that match the shelf: Fixed cases where receiving or shipping could leave the wrong amount on hand.
More precise costs: Costs are carried to more decimal places, so a recipe's estimated and actual costs don't drift apart.

Co-packed packaging on purchase orders: Receive it the same way you receive ingredients.
Cleaner receipt scans: Repeat lines for the same item are merged, and membership fees are skipped.

Operations Layer
Snap a supplier receipt with your phone. Prophitable pulls the suppliers, prices, lots, and UPCs off the page and lands them in inventory in seconds.
Track the same ingredient across multiple suppliers, each with their own prices, SKUs, and pack sizes. Switch suppliers between purchase orders, and every recipe, package, product, and sale that uses that ingredient updates on its own.
Per-unit profit clarity gets impossible by hand once you cross 50 recipes and a few suppliers. This is the layer that keeps the math honest while the business scales.

Mobile Responsive
Prophitable now works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Start a production timer in the warehouse. Check a sales order on the delivery van. Pull up today's profit from a farmer's market stall, without walking back to a laptop.
The tool should live where the work does.

Summary
Cost visibility: Missing costs are flagged on every recipe, package, product, and sales order that depends on them. No more mystery zeros.
Shelf life: Every product tracks its own shelf life separate from its recipe. Finished goods expire on their own clock.
UI polish: Type, spacing, and sizing tightened across every page. More on screen, less scrolling.

ReciPal Import
If you keep your recipes in ReciPal for nutrition labels, you can now import the whole library into Prophitable in under five seconds. One pilot brought 160 recipes over on the first try. No cleanup needed.
Ingredients attached to each recipe land in the app and are ready to cost.

Staff invites + 4-role permissions: Owner, Admin, Manager, Staff. Financial data hides for roles that shouldn't see it.
Real-time pricing cascade: Change a supplier's price on a purchase order. Every recipe, variant, product, and package that uses it updates instantly.
Unit propagation: Update a material's unit and every downstream recipe follows automatically.
Onboarding emails: Four guided emails walk new users through setup.

Co-packed Products and Delivery Routes
If a co-manufacturer makes some of your products, Prophitable handles the full unit economics. Flag the product as externally sourced and receive the finished goods on a purchase order. Tolling fees, shipping, tax and extra charges are each recorded separately. You can mix co-packed and in-house products in one order, and the math holds up either way.
Getting it to customers works the same way. Plan a delivery run across multiple stops with Google Maps and link each stop to the sales orders it fulfills. Mileage, labor and fuel get split across those orders. When you mark the run delivered, every linked order updates on its own.
One delivery day can cover a dozen stops and just as many customers, and each one ends up with its correct share of the cost.

Dashboard + reports: Profit trends, top products, and cost breakdowns across the business.
Bulk CSV import: for ingredients and materials.
Onboarding walkthrough: First-time setup walks new accounts through ingredient → recipe → product → order.

Prophitable MVP Launch
The full platform launched in January 2026. Prophitable tracks cost from raw ingredient through production to finished product to final sale. That's 20 features across the operation: ingredients, suppliers, recipes, packages, products, purchase orders, make orders, sales orders, transport orders, and everything in between.
Built alongside food and beverage founders who were tired of spreadsheets that lied to them about their margins.
